Who I Am: A Narrative Unfolded

Hello and thank you for visiting my page! My name is Kiran Batth Sidhu. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor(RCC #20017) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) and My goal is to assist you on your path to well-being. Life is full of challenges, and at times, we may feel overwhelmed and uncertain.

Sometimes, all we need is someone to listen, provide support, and offer guidance. Whether you are facing anxiety, stress, everyday pressures, parenting difficulties, or coping with loss, I am here to offer my support and help you navigate through this challenging phase.

Embarking on a Professional Odyssey

  • In my professional journey, I have served as a Registered Clinical Counsellor at Lifeworks, Moving Forward Families Services, and currently, I am working as a Concurrent Disorder Counsellor at Surrey Pretrial Services Centre, PHSA.

  • I also work with clients from WorkSafe BC who are dealing with concussions and various mental health issues.
    Additionally, I hold a Professional Membership at CCPA (Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association).

  • My expertise lies in identifying mental and personality disorders, assisting individuals of all ages facing mental health challenges such as stress, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, relationship issues, ADHD, low self-esteem, and confidence struggles. I have conducted workshops and seminars on drug and alcohol awareness, psychological well-being, and mindfulness.

  • My profound understanding of psychology, therapies, psychological testing, and counselling enables me to help clients lead more meaningful and fulfilling lives. Currently, I am pursuing a PhD focusing on the ‘PSYCHOSOCIAL DYNAMICS OF CYBERBULLYING IN LATE ADOLESCENTS‘ and have presented various research papers in this field.

  • I offer counselling services in English, Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu.

  • I use CBT and a person-centered approach, and work on supporting my clients through a therapeutic relationship built on trust, acceptance safety, and empathy.

  • Healing is one of the bravest choices we can make for ourselves. In my practice I seek to create a warm and safe environment for my clients, I believe that each individual has the capacity to grow and meet their goals regardless of their past experiences.

  • Everyone needs to be heard, supported and understood in order to move forward in life. I work hard to meet my clients where they are on their life’s journey.
